Communication Technology

As a keen illustrator I am interested in all forms of Illustrations on and with all different mediums and processes. The more conventional methods like pen and ink, fine liners, biros and pencil I am very familiar with. This project is going to let me experiment with different forms of Illustration some more conventional and some less conventional. I would like to use computer technology to extend my work from just pen and paper into something digital that could be used for web and any other forms of Digital Imagery. There are many different types of software and different processes to consider. The main processes I would like to look at are different printmaking methods, such as screen printing, monoprint and drypoint, I would also like to extend conventional drawing methods but on different bases and combine collaging. For Digital Means I would like to look at how Photoshop and Illustrator differ and how they could help me to improve my work and how they could do things I would not be able to do manually. As an extended experiment I would like to try and make some 3-D imaging, using the blue and red 3-D glasses.
